    Aquifer Recharge Company, LLC.

    Senior partner and consultant to start-up water resources management firm specializing in innovative natural and enhanced methods of aquifer recharge. Designed, developed and, implemented proprietary GIS-based database methodology for integrating and interpreting large multi-discipline datasets used in recharge site location and development (patent applications in process). Obtained preliminary investment of $100K from national engineering firm (CH2MHill) for continued feasibility studies in south-central Texas. Co-developed legal methodology for development and ownership of “diffuse” surface water and recharged groundwater in Texas. Prepared portfolios detailing various business models. Presented development concepts to various corporate and State, and local government officials. Designed and launched company website (www.aquifergroup.com). Company is currently seeking outside investment.

    Established popular online gaming community for several well-known multiplayer games (essentially a hobby turned business). EPTG is currently running six online games from three Linux-based dedicated servers. Designed and implemented community PHP/SQL-based website (www.eptexasgaming.com) on separate Linux server. Maintain server content and refresh/upgrade servers periodically. Closely supervise volunteer community members that perform general maintenance and website upkeep.

    Manage PACES Geosciences Applications Research Center. Conduct basic and applied research contributing to NASA's Earth Science Enterprise. Provide information for use by researchers to develop improved understanding of geological, ecological and environmental processes and changes in land usage taking place in the southwestern United States and northern Mexico region. Oversee current full-time (3) and student (~5-10) staff. Serve as consultant to provide remote sensing and geologic expertise to various groups and organizations. Manage and coordinate data acquisition efforts. Responsible for all hardware/ software acquisitions for PACES. Assist graduate and undergraduate students with research. Serve as temporary graduate faculty to serve on students committees. Organize technical conferences. Co-instruct Remote Sensing for Educators (graduate-level credit GLOBE Program remote sensing module). Prepare, analyze and interpret satellite image data for summer geology field courses conducted within the southwestern United States (grant initiative with JPL). Implemented PACES Landsat ETM+ web-based scene viewer/image processor.

    Current efforts include:
    • NSF- funded national Geoinformatics initiative (with ITR GEON - Geosciences Network)
    • Implementation of PACES Landsat ETM+ web-based scene viewer
      Implementation and refinement of GeoNet - United States Gravity Data Repository System
    • Design and installation of new file servers with 8+ Terabyte storage capability
    • Continued update and development of a user-friendly website and image data server for PACES
    • Integration of GIS within PACES remote sensing operational structure
    • Development of state-of-the-art geographic information system (GIS) with easy web-based access to include ArcIMS server applications.
    • Implementation of educational opportunities including introductory to advanced Remote Sensing and GIS classes
    • Acquisition and analysis of regional ETM+/ASTER/MASTER data
